Just finished an extensive repair on an iPhone 5 for a repeat customer. His son's phone had a broken screen, the power button was no longer working and the volume down button didn't work either.
The phone had to be completely stripped to get at the ribbon on which the 2 buttons are. Thankfully, with just the right amount of patience I pulled it off without a glitch. I did notice that the phone appeared to have sustain water damage and propably cauaed the buttons to stop working.
